When Paula Yoo isn't playing with her cats Oreo, Beethoven, and Charlotte, she writes children's picture books, novels and screenplays. In other words, she makes stuff up for a living... what a perfect job for a Yale English major who got her MFA in creative writing from Warren Wilson College!

But Paula used to tell the truth. She was a reporter for The Seattle Times, The Detroit News, and PEOPLE Magazine.

That's how she paid off her journalism graduate student loans to Columbia University. She then became a TV producer/writer for EUREKA (SyFy), THE WEST WING (NBC), TRU CALLING (FOX), BEYOND THE BREAK (The N), HIDDEN PALMS (The CW), and SIDE ORDER OF LIFE (Lifetime).
When Paula procrastinates, she fiddles with orchestras, string quartets, and even rock, country and Celtic fiddle bands. No wonder her first novel GOOD ENOUGH has a violin on the cover.

If you are an aspiring book author or TV/movie screenwriter, please visit Paula's FAQs for answers to all your burning questions about writing and the publishing/Hollywood industries.
